travel:: home decor

August 6, 2013

Traveling can inspire many things. One of these things for me is how I decorate my home. You finally can find time while traveling to walk around, snap photos and really take in all that is happening around you. While I’m traveling, I’ll find colors or patterns or textures that I then implement into my home. I’m not going to recreate the Eiffel tower or the Coliseum, but adding little reminders of your travels is a great way to keep their memories close to you.

The texture of this decor from Cesme.

The bold red to white in Izmir.

The patterns at Aya Sofia in Istanbul.

The color blocking of a bike in Florence.

White mosaic overlooking Barcelona.

Skull inspiration on a Barcelona door.

The strict architectural patterns of streets in Paris.
