cooking lessons:: pasta carbonara

Traveling around alone, you meet a lot of interesting people from all over the world. One such person is my new friend I met in Florence. We both happened to be heading to Venice on the same day, and ended up in the same hostel again. This friend happened to be quite an excellent cook and from his stay in Rome, had learned how to make spaghetti carbonara. This is my absolute favorite pasta dish and so I readily jumped at the opportunity to make a homemade meal. Pasta carbonara is actually quite easy to make. After cooking the pasta, you add an Italian sliced bacon, egg, parmesan, oregano and an Italian cooking cream. The pasta I helped prepare was by far the best carbonara I’ve yet to have.. Maybe I’m biased. It was a great experience to learn this, and I hope to find many more opportunities like this in my travels.
