apple pie

October 23, 2012

I want to start by first saying my grandfather is the world’s best cook. This is not an exaggeration; anyone I have brought to their secret getaway would agree. Whether it’s his famous strawberry rhubarb pie or the homemade pasta, this fellow is a wizard in a kitchen.

It came to no surprise that he already had whipped something up for all of us to enjoy upon arrival (even though it was his birthday weekend). This apple pie was perfection and because of my inability to stop thinking of it for the last several days, I decided to share the recipe (the only substitution for us was whole wheat dough). Enjoy!
