fall style

October 4, 2012

I am always on the hunt for easy, but fashionable outfits to wear to class. Seattle is a city where the weather is usually towards the colder side so most of our closets favor fall and winter. Now that it is time to start pulling out the sweaters again, it can get easy to fall into the usual rut of jeans and a cozy top. However, this can look sloppy and the way you dress is your first impression to everyone else. There are simple ways to transform your outfit to something that looks put together, but is still comfortable.

  • Wear colored or patterned pants. This adds texture and depth to your outfit outside the usual blue.
  • Throw on an interesting scarf. If you are going to wear a simple outfit, try a scarf that adds a little flair to your outfit.
  • Tuck it in and belt it. If you want to wear that same comfy shirt you wear everyday, try tucking it into your jeans and wearing a belt. This will give your outfit shape.
  • Try a skirt with fleece-lined tights. A maxi skirt can transition seasons, just make sure your legs are warm!
