What a great name. Even better? Their amazing creativity in the ice cream world and their use of typography. Using local and organic ingredients in their sweets, I almost didn’t feel guilty indulging. I tried the sweet summer corn buttermilk sorbet and the grandma malek’s almond brittle with salted ganache, but all the flavors seem like combination perfection. Does chevre with marionberry habanero jam suit your fancy? Or how about a big scoop of cinnamon snickerdoodle? With a line out the door, Salt & Straw takes the cake in ice cream, and all of Portland seems to know it.
