tasty n sons

August 14, 2012

Part of the list I made earlier this summer, Tasty N’ Sons did not disappoint. Arriving precisely as they opened at nine, we were met by a line down the block and an hour wait. We ducked into a nearby coffee shop while the anticipation grew and wondered just how delicious the food would be. Finally seated, the atmosphere of Tasty N’ Sons is one of my favorites. The spot shines with personality in the industrial open beams and quirky wall fixtures but the feeling of community is what really brings it all together. My recommendations: Steak & eggs with cornmeal pancake & jalapeño butter, Auntie Paula’s french toast with  with mixed-berry maple & whipped cream, and griddled bacon wrapped dateswith maple syrup &  almond.
